Bad synching of daylight saving time

Adjusting all clocks for one hour twice per year is a bit annoying, but what really bugs me is why USA and the EU aren’t synched on this!
For three weeks every spring and fall, your transatlantic conference calls get messed up.
And not even ALL US states have daylight saving at all. I think it’s Arizona who don’t.
Well, I guess they get sun enough anyway.....
