Russia in Georgia

Hitler barged into Czechoslovakia in 1938 to “save Germans from being mistreated”. 70 years later, Putin and his pet invaded Georgia to “save Russians from being mistreated”.

Hitler wanted to re-establish the glory of Germany that was lost in the Versailles peace treaty two decades earlier while Putin and pet want to re-establish the glory lost when the Soviet Union crumbled about two decades earlier.

1938 the powers of the free Europe were cowards that let themselves be lulled by Hitler’s promises that this was no major aggression but just a local “adjustment”. In 2008, free Europe is too dependent on Russian gas and oil to dare to use straight talk.

This scares the living daylights out of me.
